Duties :
- Developing and executing on a global strategy to create awareness for Sarron as a
thought leader and service provider in the area of IT Risk Management.
- Establishing a formal USA Services Leadership plan with specific activities that
services executives and extended management team can plan for, including: speaking engagements,
sales & customer events, white papers, publication opportunities and, regional events.
- Providing strategic counsel and guidance to senior leaders as appropriate, including:
reporting on program traction, insight, and research findings.
- Working with the services executive management team in preparing for speaker
series opportunities or other activities.
- Working with multiple corporate marketing functions in order to attain support and negotiate
priorities for thought leadership activities including: PR, funding, webcasts, vertical solutions
and marketing communications.
- Managing relationships with industry consultants in developing key strategic messaging and
awareness recommendations related to IT Risk Management.
- Conducting on-going research and developing subject matter expertise in the area of IT Risk
anagement. Working on the evolution of IT Risk Management analysis and research conducted with
outside points of contact (such as MIT, ect).
- Working with AR in order to conduct briefings with analysts around Sarron Global Services.
- Developing content to support the overarching IT Risk Management initiative including: tiered
presentations, sales tools, and webcasts.
-Leverage internal and external communications channels to raise awareness for the initiative.
- Manage budget and budget operations related to the program and special projects as
required.. .
Experience :
The Senior Product Manager for Services Product Management will be responsible for developing and executing on a Global Services Leadership strategy in order to support Symantec Global Services overarching strategy, value proposition and business objectives. The person in this role will be critical in extending the overarching Global Services IT Risk Management story and supporting activities. The position is part of the Services Product Management team and reports to the Director of Services Product Management.
8-12+ years -- plus
- Combined product marketing and product management experience required.
- Enterprise Software services experience (consulting, education and support) as well as experience in the security and/or storage and systems management markets.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional teams
- Negotiation skills
- Effective and proven communication, presentation and writing skills are required.
Requires business travel 15% of the time. |
